companies & Contacts

First let's starts with some definitions:

Companies: those entities your gallery make business with.  They can be your clients, your suppliers or your partners.  Remember that Veevart and Salesforce not only allow you to manage your clients, but also all other entities that interact with you and your business on any given day

Contacts: these are the actual people you have interactions with.  They can be your clients, artists, experts, journalists, vendors etc.  They may or may not be linked to a company

Veevart Customizations

Customizations are processes or codes built into the application that make easier the work in our industry.  Here are some of them:

Amount Bought: When a transaction of an artwork is declared as sold, a code is invoked to calculate and refresh the total amount bought by the client.  This allows Galleries and art merchants to easily segment their contacts based on the amount of business done with them.  The code that perform this operation can be found in the Contact Process within the Salesforce Process Builder

Artistic Preferences: When a transaction of an artwork is created and the artwork has a documented movement, the client in the transaction gets automatically added the movement in his/her artistic preferences.  The main idea being that if the client already expressed interest in the artwork, she/he could also be interested in other artworks with the same movement

Favorite Artists: When a transaction of an artwork is created and the artwork has a documented artist, the client in the transaction gets automatically added the artist in his/her favorite artists.  The main idea being that if the client already expressed interest in the artwork, she/he could also be interested in other artworks with the same movement
